ReadMaster Plus

The basic tool a student must master to learn academics in the ACE School of Tomorrow system is the ability to read and comprehend. ReadMaster is a digitized reading program that caters to students in every level. It improves vocabulary and reading rate, increases comprehension skills, and builds Christian character! Students are first diagnosed for proper placement in their correct reading level and rate. They are then scheduled twice a week for a Readmaster session, each lasting anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. Students who are diagnosed below their chronological grade level get more sessions per week. It is interesting to note how students improve in their reading skills as ReadMaster introduces them to short stories and excerpts that are not only informative but also fun and fascinating. Students who complete the twelve levels of the ReadMaster program typically achieve a reading rate of not less than 1000 words per minute, with at least an 80% comprehension.

TypeMaster is another part of the ReadMaster Plus program that aids students with their keyboarding skills, a necessary ability to continuously adapt to our ever-improving technology. Students new to the program all begin at the lowest level and monitored for progress. Each lesson is mastery-based and builds on previously mastered skills. By the end of the program, the student should have mastered keyboarding techniques, usually typing 50 words per minute or faster.
